Welcome to TruGreen’s inaugural “Liveliest Village Green” competition run in conjunction with The Open Spaces Society and The Sunday Telegraph.

TruGreen Professional Lawn Care, The OSS and The Sunday Telegraph invite you to join in with our celebration of all things grassy and beautiful – our wonderful village greens.

If you think your village green is the liveliest in the UK, then all you have to do is send 50 words to the email below detailing why you think it should win. Include in your entry a low res photograph capturing it at its best. Your picture might show you and your family enjoying a game of football or your friends’ antics in the snow earlier this year with your town’s tallest snowman.

Email your entry to villagegreen@trugreen.co.uk. Don’t forget to include your contact details and a valid telephone number.

A shortlist of four village greens will be selected by TruGreen and The Sunday Telegraph and the general public will have the chance to vote for the winning village green on The Sunday Telegraph website before the winner is announced on Easter day, Sunday 4 April.

The four shortlisted entries will each win £50 worth of National Garden Centre vouchers and the winning entry will be presented with a commemorative award.
