We’re walking in the air… and fundraising for the Pied Piper Appeal
Lorna from TruGreen in Gloucestershire, Hereford and Worcester is supporting the local children’s charity, the Pied Piper Appeal, through a daring wing walk.
For most of us, catching a flight means booking EasyJet for the summer holds, but not for Lorna from TruGreen in Gloucestershire, Hereford and Worcester!
To raise money for the Pied Piper Appeal Lorna is taking part in a wing walk.
This entails walking along the wings of a plane. Simple enough, right?
Oh, yes… and it’ll be in flight!
Lorna hopes that her daring thrill ride will raise £1000 for the local charity, which has been making a difference in the lives of sick and disabled children and their families across Gloucestershire county for over 30 years.
She has already raised over £500 at the time of writing, with just over a week to go before she completes her flying feat.

The Work of the Pied Piper Appeal
This isn’t the first time TruGreen and Mike Simmonds’ team has fundraised for The Pied Piper Appeal.
They also were part of 30 local businesses across Gloucestershire county that partnered with the charity to raise money for their services for its 30th anniversary last year.
Their support helps the Pied Piper Appeal to provide equipment in hospitals and waiting areas in paediatric outpatient areas with the right equipment; bursaries to send nurses on training courses; support SEND schools in the local area and the Chamwell Centre; send children with life-limiting illnesses and their families on Wish holidays; and support efforts in improving paediatric mental health.
